The Bladesworn mercenary company was formed by refugees from the Ember Marches after their lands were destroyed. Some of those that managed to flee found each other and banded together for protection. One of these groups started selling their services as mercenaries to earn a living and, together with friends and allies they had gathered thus far, formed this mercenary company.

Since its funding the group has served faithfully whoever the highest bidder was and its stories chronicle many battles and acts of bravery from its members. The latest employer they have signed with is Sir Dagger of East Blackwood. Since then, The Bladesworn have already shown themselves to be formidable allies both on and off the battlefield. From their victory on the fields of Sarkan to the cowardly flight before them of Vicount Vorontova after the Salty Stick wedding debacle, the Bladesworn have proven themselves as great allies of East Blackwood.

While the groups feats of bravery are the subject of many bard songs, with their flanking attack in the valley of Torvald becoming the subject of war treatises, lesser known is their desire to one day reclaim their lost homelands. To that end the Bladesworn have begun gathering a mighty force and a substantial war chest though debates on whether that gold should be used in the war or in the helping of their fellow refugees abound inside the group.

But, thought the fight ahead will be long and bloody, hope ever lingers among them that, one day, the eternal flame will burn anew under the Sanctuary of Cindrelon.
