Olyssea of the Purple Lakes

Olyssea of the Purple Lakes

Assigned, Guard of the Embassy Guard

Olyssea and the Bladesworn first served a temporary contract to East Blackwood on the Summer Expedition 1025 R.c.Y to Sarkan. The Bladesworn and subsequently Elyon were signed to a Mercenary Company Contract with Sir Dagger Arkenstone of East Blackwood later that year at the Oak Hill Festival.

Mantra: More violets, less violence.

Olyssea was born beside the Violet Lakes, where naiads shaped water into healing, dreams, and gentle visions. She grew up with her younger sister, Ysiléa, whom she considers her soulmate.

When a strange blight known as the Corruption rose from the depths, Olyssea tried to heal the first afflicted. But the disease was incomprehensible and unstoppable. Ysiléa was among the first to fall. Still a young healer, Olyssea poured every spell, prayer, and forbidden remedy into saving her, and when nothing more could be done, she stayed until the end. That day, she swore never to be powerless again.

She carries with her a vial of lake-water, forever tinted violet. She claims a fragment of Ysiléa lingers within; no one knows whether it is truth or comfort.

After fleeing the Ember Marches with a handful of survivors, Olyssea learned the harshness of the world, and the Bladesworn were born—mercenaries out of necessity, yet a new family. Olyssea became their healer and alchemist, weaving water into iridescent balms, dream-infusions, and fragile purifying draughts.

Some say the water responds to her emotions.

Soft-spoken and calm, she rarely panics; she has already faced the worst. Empathic by nature, she binds herself easily to others and feels most alive when healing.

Among the Bladesworn, she carries the title Echo-Weaver, keeper of memories and gentle voice of the company.
