Mythodea / Wagons and War Horses: Knight's Errant
Campaigns and Expeditions take time, planning and a lot of resources. Knowing this, Lady Makø Tock and Master William Klatch hosted festivities at the Knight's Errant Inn. The Knight's Errant has become a popular stop on the way to the ports of the Western Seal of Mitraspera as a safe place to feed and water the beasts of burden, to rest and to restock for journeys ahead. Notables present at the market and festival of the Knight's Errant were, but were not limited to, the following: Arden of the Dyralif Clan, Feste; Merane of Port Amethyst, Zunrâth and Raezindrel Hun'lyl of Drada D'Issan, Northern Seal; Sir Dagger Arkenstone, Sir Bødvar Tock, Sir Logaan of Arven, Beer and Ivy of East Blackwood; Olyssea of the Purple Lakes, Elix Apollo, Elyon the Radiant of the Bladesworn; Kuro of Nova Bretonnia, Sire Brieuc de Sart Corbin and Dame Lyre de Foltour from the Ars Nobilis, Western Seal; Masanori Takeda Captain of the Moonlight Shadow Company and, Lysara Ashvale and Garran Thorneweaver under the protection of the Bladesworn Company.
What everyone presented would need for the journey and expedition ahead was a large amount of supplies. The townships surrounding the Knight's Errant would be the source.
Tross, the Bagage Train
Expeditions, military campaigns, diplomatic missions that somehow include thousands of people all require a very large amount of resources. The diplomatic expedition to Sarkan is no exception to this rule. Several hosts of diplomats, merchants, tradespeople, soldiers, mercenaries and world leaders from all over Mitraspera embarked on the voyage to the southern continent, Sarkan. On the way there, many stopped in the Western Seal lands of Nova Bretonia where they met up with a host from East Blackwood who were there defending Rii Isenden's lands. The main point of convergence, the Knight's Errant.
Allegedly, Sir Dagger of Blackwood offered to help defend Nova Bretonia while the Rii was visiting Irenath in the Northern Seal before the expedition. Dagger claimed that the East Blackwood host was in Nova Bretonia to gather resources for the up coming campaign while they wait for Rii Isenden to return from the Northern Seal. Lady Makø Tock and Master William Klatch provided extra-covered wagons for the upcoming journey. They needed only to be properly and efficient loaded with as much finished goods as possible. First, those goods needed to be collected, acquired, and purchased if not made.
With the assistance of Nova Bretonia and the Bladesworn Company, East Blackwood gathered several wagon's full of resources for the mission to Sarkan. Resources came from the surrounding region, those who were just traveling through and those were on the way to Sarkan. Sir Dagger reportedly ordered a second ship to accommodate other groups who requested to passage to Sarkan as payment for their resources. In the end, the East Blackwood Company and partly Nova Bretonia financed the gathering of needed resources and transportation costs.
A Demon Artifact?
We here at The Ambassador have received numerous reports concerning the unsettling events that unfolded during the recent stay at the Knight's Errant Inn. What first appeared to be little more than uneasy rumours soon became difficult to ignore. Several guests claimed to feel inexplicably ill, while others reported hearing faint whispers carried through the night. Many insisted that the surrounding forest itself seemed restless, as though warning of a danger. As inquiries began, guests uncovered a series of curious sketches depicting a particular corner of the inn's garden.
When questioned, the innkeeper, Lady Makø Tock, reportedly had no recollection of ever drawing them. Witnesses later recalled that the marked location concealed a demonic tablet, buried there some three years ago after the mage Gideon Klaud had subdued its influence. According to those present, the decision was made to unearth the artifact and destroy it.
Reports suggest that the tablet released a violent surge of Ignis upon being disturbed, its influence proving strong enough to twist the minds of several nearby souls, who briefly turned against those they held dear. A basin of water was then purified so that Aqua might overcome the artifact's power. United in purpose, Ardren of the Dyralif Clan, Sir Celestin, and Olyssea of the Bladesworn Company channelled their strength and magic together, reducing the cursed tablet to nothing. Since its destruction, no further whispers have been reported, and the forest has remained quiet.
The Market at the Knight's Errant
With the expectation of an influx of guests at the Au Chevalier Errant (Knight's Errant), Lady Makø Tock, Master of Coin for Nova Bretonia organized a market. Not only those honored guests from the expedition to Sarkan but also an even larger number of local peasants, artisans, merchants and crafts-persons form the surrounding townships attended to find the best deals around. Master William Klatch converted a stables to serve food and drink from the Drei Ponnies Brauhaus (Three Ponies Brewery) and merchants from throughout Nova Bretonia and the surrounding region set up stalls to sell their wares.
The market drew a large crowd. At the market's height, over 200 guests were reportedly crammed into the squire in the shadow of the Knight's Errant. The little market was later declared a success by its hostess, Lady Makø Tock.
A Festival Before Sarkan
What is a market, expedition preparation and a cursed demon artifact without a little party? That is exactly what Lady Makø Tock and Master William Klatch thought when they organized a festival to go with it all. During high-noon hours of the day, the Nova Bretonia sun was beating down on the Knight's Errant. Lucky for the guests, the inn boasts a grand cellar with plenty of space to host gatherings and events where the heat of the day struggled to reach. One such event was a performance competition where several guests distinguished themselves including members of the Bladesworn Company and Western Seal patrons. Merane of Port Amethyst and Ardren from the Dyralif Clan, in the Feste claimed the highest prize of the event which included a room in the Knight's Errant for the following year.
Other events of the festivities included gambling, a large feast which included pig on a spit, and an auction. The festivities culminated in a special event in the inn's cellars for those interested, William's Kink. We hear it was an acrobatic affair. The remaining time left to the evening was spent in the baths, camps and or drinking and talking until the last of the guests retired for the evening. The following day would see the return of Rii Isenden and the continuation of the expedition to Sarkan.

Rii Isenden
Rumor has it that Rii Isenden eats infant babies to power his magic. It was heard that the lord of Nova Bretonia recently traveled to Irenath in the Northern Seal to purchase a fresh batch to help power him for the journey to Sarkan.

Rumor has it Sir Maron was at the Knight's Errant for the festivities. Sir Maron vehemently denies these allegations.

Rumor has it Dame Lyre de Foltour, from the Ars Nobilis. Diplomat, artist and
Curator of Tiefenwacht is heiress to both Tiefenwacht in the Western
Seal and Tiefenwacht in the Realms of Roses.
